Bipolar junction transistors(BJTs) are semiconductor devices whose terminals are made of PN junction. They can also amplify the signal and control the current, that is, they are called current-control devices. The three terminals are base, collector and emitter. They can be used for switching (digital electronics) or amplifying (analog electronics).
